How I approach photography
I’m all about making photography fun and easy-to-learn! Teaching is my passion and joy, and I aim to transmit that joy through imparting my repertoire of photography techniques to my students.
I have a variety of courses designed for any level of photography and cover a wide range of photographic genres. On completion of a course my students feel confident in using their camera, quickly and easily taking photos which they are proud to share with family and friends.
MY STORY
After graduating from Anglia Ruskin University with a degree in Photography, I jetted off around the globe, taking in places in the South East Asia region before settling in Port Douglas, Australia, in 2017.
UNDER THE SEA
From 2012 until 2021 I worked as an underwater photographer throughout SE Asia and Australia. This was an amazing experience, I saw many amazing things and learnt a lot of different photographic techniques.
Douglas Photographic Society
I head a group of local photographers in organizing club events such as outings, workshops and an annual exhibition to showcase various works with the rest of the community.
JCU Startup Onramp
In 2021 I completed a 12 week small business startup onramp program at James Cook University. This was an amazing program and gave me the opportunity to learn a lot more about the world of business.
First Aid
On 20th June 2023 I completed my First Aid and CPR qualifications with ST Johns.

Douglas Photographic Society Exhibition - Grand Champion
My photo of the balancing rocks on the Captain Cook Highway won the Grand Champion Award in the Douglas Photographic Society's annual exhibition in 2023.
IAAP 2023 - Certificate of Acceptance
My photo of a green tree frog won an acceptance award in the International Association of Art Photographers competition in 2023.
Canopy Awards 2023 - Finalist
My photo of a green tree frog was a finalist in this local competition focusing on the rainforest.
35 Awards - 2023
My photo of a fruit bat being eaten by a python came in the top 11% of all photos in the Wildlife:Predators contest.
